Jaz Ranch feels that our greatest asset is our unique National Foundation Quarter Horse broodmare band. These mares represent the best of true Bulldog Foundation breeding, carrying an average of 32.438% Poco Bueno blood, with a liberal dose of King P-234 through not only Poco Bueno, but other great sons like Beaver Creek, LH Chock, Hill King, and Continental King.The Jaz Ranch broodmare band was built by crossing granddaughters of the legendary Poco Bueno to Little Steel Dust. While most of those great old mares have passed away on our ranch, we kept all of their daughters by Little Steel Dust that we possible could.
We are very proud of their quality and uniformity. They not only have the breeding, but look like their breeding, act like their breeding, and are producing the same uniformity in their babies!
Jaz Ranch babies are beautiful with outstanding dispositions - in fact they seem to arrive in the world already halter broke! Of course it is also so fun that so many of them are the beautiful grullo, black and dun color.
